BCC Sports Moves into Pre-Production of New Reality Series: “All American Rookie”

NASCAR Race Team joins forces with Sports Marketing Agency to Produce the most Expensive Series in Television History

Irvine, CA, October 04, 2006 --(PR.com)-- BCC Sports begins pre-production of its new reality show, “All American Rookie™”, as announced today by The BCC Group CEO, Geno Brunton and NASCAR champion, Joe Nemechek. BCC Sports is also in current negotiations with several network and cable channels for US and worldwide distribution of the 13-episode series. "We are excited to move into this new phase of pre-production of the “All American Rookie” show, after the last 9 months of development," said Brunton, Creator and Executive Producer of the series, along with the President of NEMCO Motorsports, Joe Nemechek who is also a Producer of the show. "This is a show that will bring to NASCAR fans a true sense of what race car drivers really endure in the grueling sport of stock car racing," says Nemechek.

Joe Nemechek, currently a driver in the Nextel Cup Series, has earned the respect and support of the sport and other drivers in NASCAR by obtaining the commitment of his peers to be involved in the series, supporting him on the show. Nine other NASCAR drivers are currently in discussions with the producers to be involved as judges and mentors to the 30 rookie drivers that will start the show. The final five Rookies will actually race against these champion drivers and will all have to prove themselves worthy of a spot on the track as the anointed, “All American Rookie™”. The driver emerging victorious will earn a sponsored contract to race for the NEMCO team in the Busch Series.

“All American Rookie™” merges the raw edge and excitement of stock car racing with the intensity and drama of competitive television, awarding drivers who have paid their dues, driving weekly in the ARCA, Hooters and other racing circuits, the opportunity of being mentored by Joe Nemechek and other current NASCAR drivers and champions, eventually having the chance to race against the best in the sport. The winner of the “All American Rookie™” will be awarded the opportunity to be a part of the NEMCO race team, race in the Busch Series and earn a career as a race car driver in NASCAR.

"With 80 million fans following the sport, the show is a perfect addition to the entertainment value of the expanding phenomenon created within this exciting sport, followed 10 months of the year by race fans," said Geno Brunton. "Fans will eventually be given the opportunity to audition for a position on the show as a Rookie in the 2nd season, but for this first one, we’ve given those dedicated drivers that have proven themselves by racing every weekend, most on their own dime, a chance for a spot on the track amongst the best." Anthony Honeycutt, a veteran in the business of sponsorship and product placement comments, “This show is America's favorite spectator sport meets reality TV. Everyone loves the concept. We have seen more interest from sponsors with this show than any other movie or show we have ever worked on.”

Touted by those close to the show as the ‘most expensive show in television history’, with a $40 million dollar budget, this reality show is different and takes you to the extreme edge of competitive programming. “Stock cars are expensive,” says Brandon Hinson, an Associate Producer on the show, “but what we’re giving fans is the excitement of real racing and real rules, while bringing them into the real world of stock car racing like they’ve never seen before; it’s a whole different perspective.” Production of the first season is scheduled for late November and will be filmed at five tracks across the US.
