MLT/Instructing Technologies Warms the Mind & the Stomach

Wisconsin professional development and training company, MLT/Instructing Technologies, warmed the stomachs and minds of clients on November 10, 2009 at their headquarters in Waukesha, Wisconsin with an Employee Soup Cook-Off.

Waukesha, WI, November 14, 2009 --(PR.com)-- On November 10, 2009 it wasn’t just the cold crisp air or the falling leaves that reminded MLT/Instructing Technologies clients that it was fall – it was also the anticipation that they were about to become judges in the first Employee Soup Cook-Off that day over lunch.

Over fifty people arrived on Tuesday to warm their minds with training and also their stomachs with a variety of soups from the employees at MLT/Instructing Technologies. The event was created as a way to say thank-you to everyone in attendance as well as engage the employees with clients.

“Not only was the soup cook-off a way for us to have a little fun and show creativity, it was an opportunity to let people know that we appreciate their business. We had five of our employees participate, but all of our employees gathered in the kitchen to see who would end up winning. It gave our clients a unique opportunity to meet the people behind the scenes as well as our sales people.” Karen Kostrewa, CEO of MLT/Instructing Technologies shared.

As lunch approached the aromas of broccoli and cheese, cheesy baked potato, chicken and dumpling, chili and Italian wedding soup consumed the halls of the training company. At noon the lines began to form in front of each one of the soups, the judges were armed with multiple bowls and their voting ballots.
Lunch time erupted with each of the judges trying to figure out who made each of the soups, but in the end everyone had sampled and cast their ballots accordingly.

At first the employees were sure that Karen Kostrewa, the former owner of a catering company, would win with her Italian wedding soup; however, receptionist Alexis Malinowski’s chicken and dumpling soup took first. Completely surprised, Alexis admitted that she doesn’t even really cook.

Second place was a tie between Vice President of Sales, Leanne Shaw (cheesy baked potato) and Senior Account Manager, Tiffany Weber (broccoli & cheese). Third place went to Accountant, Dan Davis and fourth place was CEO, Karen Kostrewa.

All of the recipes from Tuesday’s competition are available on-line at www.instructingtechnologies.com.
