These are just a handful of facts to come from the survey, carried out by Oz Crawl, the hilarious, fun new board game that sees players act, sing and answer trivia in a race around Australia to the Crawlers Ball.

Flirtation to Fisticuffs:
- Close to 3-in-5 Australians (43%) have either had an argument or a physical fight during a game, with the New South Welshman arguing more than any other region

- Beware when a Victorian wants to play - 1-in-4 are motivated by competition

Toyworld Managing Director Geoff Morton says board games have seen a return to the family home over the last year with the recession prompting a return to classic family entertainment.

“The statistics show that close to 30% of Australians are choosing to entertain more at home since the recent financial crisis, and many will be looking for gifts to enjoy with family and friends. New board games to hit the shelves such as Oz Crawl will be popular for those looking for fantastic holiday fun they can enjoy with others.”

He says shoppers have already begun the hunt for Christmas gifts. “It seems people are keen to get presents as early they can early this year to avoid a large payout in December” he said.

Oz Crawl inventor, Emily McDonald says that playing board games over the Christmas holidays is a great Australian tradition.

"We've made a really fun game for friends and families to play by including a wide range of different activities in the game – you’ll discover surprising talents you never knew your friends had from singing and dancing to using their powers of persuasion to win the game,” says McDonald. “But just because I’m from the ACT, don’t expect I’ll be letting anyone win!”

Oz Crawl is available for $59.95 from all good game stockists nationwide including Toyworld, Socrates and Australian Geographic stores.
