Pet Accessory Carry-All Manufacturer Pet Grab-N-Go Releases Study Results and Recommendations on Animal Incidents on Airlines

Davidson, NC, November 28, 2009 --(PR.com)-- Charlotte-based Pet Grab-n-Go®, LLC, a company dedicated to products that increase pet safety and protection recommended caution when taking pets on airlines flights.

According to the Aviation Consumer Protection Division of the Department of Transportation's Airline Animal Incident Reports for 2009, pets do not always fare well. Of the 32 animal incidents encountered through November 2009, airlines self-reported 22 deaths, 6 injuries and 4 losses.

In 2000, then President Clinton passed The Safe Air Travel for Animals Act forcing airlines to severely modify the transport of live animals. The Act finds that animals are live, sentient creatures with the ability to feel pain and suffer; that it was inappropriate for animals transported by air to be treated as baggage.

In light of this, Pet Grab-N-Go recommends a few complete travel services for pets by air or ground transportation. A spokesperson for the pet accessory carry-all manufacturer reported, “Plenty of online sites can help keep pets safe - Petflight.com, ASPCA.org, Petgrab-N-Go.com, Humanesociety.org or Tripswithpets.com to name a few. Find lists of items to take with your pet to make travel safer. Some of these sites have travel products to make travel safe and convenient.”
