Los Angeles, CA, December 01, 2009 --(PR.com
)-- The Bathtub Refinishing Association of America was established in December of 2008 in an effort to offer refinishers and consumers a common ground to find the answers they need in the bathtub refinishing industry by utilization of a forum system and listing refinishers according to their regions.
One of the reasons why the BRAOA was started was because bathtub refinishing is an industry of uncertainty to many consumers because of its past and one of the reasons for this was the lack of “open source” for new refinishers to learn from. The shifty economy has forced many out of work painters and handymen to take on additional services to make ends meet. They see over-the-counter DIY bathtub refinishing kits and think to themselves, “I can do this” and make a few bucks. Some of them try to do a little research on the net to learn more but only find DIY kit suppliers, franchises or membership sites that they cannot afford so they go out and do a job without proper understanding which results in a failure therefore creating this “consumer uncertainty”. What the BRAOA offers is a place of understanding for both parties, meaning a place for refinishers to learn, teach and offer their services and a place for consumers to satisfy this uncertainty. Best of all, it’s free for both parties.
This transition was prompted by BRAOA’s newest Canadian member Quality 1 Bathtub and Tile Reglazing, www.bath-renew.com, in Montreal, QC.
Owner Kfir Azran had this to say:
“It is refreshing to know that there is a place we can go to share with like minded refinishers to learn more. Thank you for being here.”
