Monroe, CT Music Store Donates 2008 Beijing Olympics Baritone Horn to Trumbull High School Marching Band

Creative Music Center Gives Gift of Olympic History, a 2008 Winter Olympics Baritone Horn Inscribed with Olympic Rings

Monroe, CT, December 03, 2009 --(PR.com)-- A baritone horn played at the 2008 Beijing winter Olympics and inscribed with the Olympic three rings was donated to the Trumbull High School Marching Band on November 14. The horn was given by Liz Reisman of Creative Music Center in Monroe during the band’s annual family picnic held at Trumbull High School.

“I felt that the Trumbull High School Marching Band deserved this special horn,” said Reisman. “I wanted it to be in good hands, and I can't imagine a better place than with this band. These students work very hard every year, both on and off the field. They made us all especially proud when they marched in the President's inaugural parade earlier this year. The Olympics represents excellence, the best of the best, and the Trumbull High School Golden Eagle Marching Band embodies excellence.”

The band may auction the horn to raise much needed funds or keep it for seniors to play during competitions and shows.
