)-- Mary Poole, executive director of Artspace (www.artspacenc.org), has announced that the eighth annual Collectors Gala raised approximately $100,000 to benefit Artspace exhibitions, educational programming, and community outreach to children and adults in difficult circumstances. More than 400 guests attended to enjoy a night of artwork, dinner, and a live and silent auction.
“We are delighted to have had such a great response from attendees for this year’s Collectors Gala”, said Poole. “The proceeds will help us continue our mission to support local artists and provide educational programming and outreach for the Triangle community.”
- Guests had the opportunity to purchase local and nationally recognized artists’ artwork through a live and silent auction as well as artwork displayed around the building during the event.
Artspace is a nonprofit visual art center dedicated to providing arts education and community outreach programs, creating an environment of more than 100 professional artists and presenting nationally acclaimed exhibitions. Located in downtown Raleigh in the historic Sanders Ford building, Artspace has been providing the community with the opportunity to interact with working artists and to participate in hands-on arts education since 1986.
