BeatingDrums.com Announces Charity Campaign !N2DG - Drumming to Beat Alzheimer's

Drum enthusiast, Johnny Vargas is on a journey across the southwest United States to help "Beat Alzheimer's" through a series of drum circle events, demonstrating support for Alzheimer's research.

Austin, TX, December 15, 2009 --(PR.com)-- Texas native and drum enthusiast, Johnny Vargas is touring the southwest United States playing his drums as a dedication to Alzheimer's research. As part of this dedication, Mr. Vargas has started a fund through the Alzheimer's Association and has named his cause "!N2DG 2009" which stands for "!N 2 Da Groove."

Beginning the weekend before Christmas 2009 and ending on New Year’s Day 2010, !N2DG 2009 is a series of drum circle sessions in several major cities in the southwest United States. Included in the tour are: Albuquerque, NM; Las Vegas, NV; San Francisco, CA; Los Angeles, CA; Phoenix, AZ; and Austin, TX. The gathering of a few and dedicated to benefiting many, this journey is dedicated as a benefit demonstrating support for Alzheimer’s research. The actual drum circle events are planned as informal gatherings of people playing drums to demonstrate support for Alzheimer’s research. Interested parties are asked to simply bring their drums, empty 5 gal water jugs, tinker toy bins, shakers, or anything else to make some noise. The events are intended to be a casual and fun way to demonstrate support for Alzheimer’s research.

No money will be asked from you at the events. Donations are only accepted online. Donations directly to the Alzheimer’s Association are tax-deductible, donations to Johnny to help with gas are not tax-deductible but very much appreciated.
