HSBCAMPS Brings Pros and Youths Together for Basketball and Better Communities

Youth Basketball Camp Dribbles into Local Markets in Summer 2010 with a Non-Profit in its Line-Up

San Diego, CA, December 17, 2009 --(PR.com)-- HSBCAMPS, LLC, the youth basketball camp dedicated to bringing kids face-to-face with the pros through individualized training, is hitting the courts of local junior high and high school campuses during the months of June and July in markets that include Chula Vista, Calif.; Boise, Idaho; Hailey, Idaho; Bend, Ore.; and Portland, Ore. The HSBCAMPS Morning Clinics and Day Camps are four-day camps geared towards teaching and developing the fundamentals of basketball for boys and girls in grades ranging from kindergarten through 12. From group drills and individual contests, to team competitions and guest lectures, players will participate in over 15 hours of instructional work with the HSBCAMPS staff, comprised of collegiate and professional coaches and players.

This year, the roster at HSBCAMPS will include more than just an all-star line-up of coaches, it will also include a newly formed non-profit partner, HSBCARES, INC. Currently in the “application stage” with 1023/3500 forms filed with the federal government and State of California, respectively, HSBCARES is dedicated to providing basketball and educational opportunities to all those in need, regardless of age, income or physical ability. Since its inception in 2007, HSBCAMPS has prided itself as a program that cares. With more than $25,000 raised to date, HSBCAMPS stands firm in its commitment to provide every child, regardless of age or income, with an opportunity to attend camp.

"It is our hope that HSBCARES is the vehicle that carries us far into the future," explains HSBCAMPS Director Carson Sofro. "We have been able to help so many, but there is a lot more left to be done.”
