Global Works PR & Marketing Communications Agency Shortlisted at European Excellence Awards 2009

Moscow, Russia, December 18, 2009 --(PR.com)-- Global Works, a Moscow-based PR and marketing communications agency, has been shortlisted at the European Excellence Awards 2009, a contest to honor the most outstanding achievements of communications professionals organized and held by Communication Director, the Magazine for Corporate Communications and Public Relations in Europe.

This year's Awards attracted an unprecedented 1,200 entries from communications agencies accross Europe.

Global Works made its entry to the awards contest in November 2009 with a project carried out in summer 2009 for its client U.S. Meat Export Federation to address the growing concerns of Russian consumers with meat safety in connection with the spread of swine flu. As part of the project, the agency organized a media tour for journalists representing leading Russian business publications and a number of meetings with experts from the U.S. meat industry.

The journalists received detailed information on the quality assurance system in the U.S. meat industry as well as statistical data on U.S. meat exports to other countries. The project resulted in over 70 print and online stories on the U.S. industry. In a favorable information climate the Federal Service for Veterinary and Phytosanitary Surveillance (Rosselkhoznadzor) removed the previously imposed ban on U.S. meat imports to Russia in August 2009.
