Pizzeria Raises Over $14,000 for Troops to Call Home

Kenton, OH, December 16, 2009 --(PR.com)-- On Saturday, December 12th, 2009 Michael Angelo's Pizza raised $14,400.55 for their 3rd annual “We Support Our Troops” fundraiser event, falling slightly short of last years $16,500. The funds were a blend of 100% of pizza sales at the Michael Angelo's Pizza in Kenton, some monetary donations from the communities of Kenton & Rushsylvania, and 100% of pizza rain check sales from both pizzeria locations.

All of the money will be used to purchase phone cards from the Military Exchange Service for 24 local or locally connected soldiers currently serving overseas or who are getting ready to deploy. The fundraiser proceeds will provide over 1,200 hours of call time for the soldiers.
