)-- Recently, the California Air Resources Board (CARB) accredited GHG Analytical as the state’s newest GHG Emissions Verifier.
California’s new reporting regulations require large emitters in the state to report their GHG emissions, and then verify them via third party independent verification bodies. The verification bodies undergo rigorous accreditation procedures to ensure only the most qualified emission testing companies in the state are entrusted with this important responsibility. GHG Analytical’s certification puts it on the short list of the select few emission testing companies in the nation to engage in the verification of government mandated emission reports.
GHG Analytical and its affiliates have been performing a wide range of environmental compliance, consulting, and environmental construction projects in California for over two decades. In its consulting practice, GHG Analytical utilizes its own in-house direct source site specific testing devices and compliance systems. Company executives anticipate verification will blossom into a nationwide industry once programs such as the EPA’s emissions reporting guidelines and federal cap and trade or carbon tax programs are adopted into law.
One of these innovate programs is currently up and running on their website. GHG Analytical’s slogan, “the Hearbeat of the Planet,” is more than just a catchphrase—the company has the ambitious goal of monitoring Carbon Dioxide in the air around the country (and possibly the world) in order to give climate scientists a clearer picture of the relationship between carbon dioxide levels and climate change.
