Kentucky Asian Culture Association Brought Shen Yun - a Glorious Culture Reborn - to Louisville, KY the First Time

Energetic and thrilling drumming acts are just a part of the world-renowned Shen Yun show, scheduled to play at the Whitney Hall, The Kentucky Center on Mar 7, 2010 in Louisville. The show is on an international tour spanning over 100 cities on five continents.

Louisville, KY, December 24, 2009 --(PR.com)-- On March 7, 2010, Kentucky Asian Culture Association and Kentucky Falun Dafa Association will jointly present Shen Yun in Louisville the first time. Shen Yun Performing Arts will perform whole new program with live orchestra at Whitney Hall, The Kentucky Center.

Shen Yun offers an exhilarating world-class production that celebrates the excellence and grandeur of classical Chinese dance and music. It draws inspiration from the legends, values, and spirit that defined traditional Chinese culture for centuries.

During its 2009 world tour, Shen Yun performed over 320 successful shows in over 100 cities around the world, delighting the hearts of over 1 million people of all ages and backgrounds. It graced the world’s most prestigious stages, from Radio City Music Hall, Kennedy Center in Washington DC, Kodak Theatre, Palais des Congres de Paris, to National Arts Centre in Ottawa, etc.

Shen Yun received rave reviews from audience members, and has created a miracle in the performing arts industry.

Weaving a wondrous story of heavenly realms, enchanting dreams, and the classic struggle between good and evil, the show's breathtaking pageantry evokes themes of virtue, compassion, and courage which have lain at the heart of China's culture since antiquity. Story-based dances portray topics ranging from ancient tales of valor to modern-day epics such as that of Falun Dafa - the spiritual practice that has been brutally persecuted by the communist regime for almost a decade. In the wake of the tragic erosion of traditional Chinese culture under decades of communist rule, New York-based Shen Yun Performing Arts endeavors to rediscover a lost artistic and cultural heritage.

Marvel at fresh new dances intermingled with old favorites, featuring a superb cast of dancers, singers, and musicians. You will be spellbound by the brilliant choreography, stunning costumes, and state-of-the-art dynamic backdrops. Here's your chance to savor an uplifting, enriching experience that has charmed and delighted people of all ages, Western and Asian alike.

Profound, sublime, inspiring: that was the unequivocal response to last year's show. It is traditional Chinese culture as it was "meant to be" a study in grace, fluidity, balance, and inner strength. A program of twenty masterful dances and songs brings Asia's celebrated past to life on stage. The vigorous drums of the 7th century Tang court will quicken your pulse, while the pastoral charm of inner Mongolian dance will delight your soul. The dozens of brilliant performers will be coming to the Bay Area as part of a 20 country world tour.

All choreography and music performed are original.

Tickets are now available at the Kentucky Center's box office. Be part of this world phenomenon.
