Memphis, TN, October 20, 2006 --(PR.com
)-- Remote Backup Systems, Inc. (RBS), developer and distributor of RBackup™ online backup software on the web at http://remote-backup.com
, today announced the release of version 9.2 of the company’s flagship product. Among the features and functionality enabled in the new version is native mail-folder-level support for Microsoft’s SQL Server and Exchange database environments - a first in the online backup software industry - at no extra charge.
RBackup version 9.2 seamlessly supports open Exchange and SQL databases, and includes the ability to back up and restore data at the mailbox mail folder level, versus the entire database level. RBS is the only online backup software company in the world to extend this advanced functionality at no additional charge.
“We listened very carefully to our 8000 global licensees,” commented Tommy Gardner, Director of Sales and Marketing for RBS, “and what we heard was that these features should be included in any serious commercial grade remote backup software package without a complex or costly licensing, distribution or fee structure. We agreed, and in version 9.2 have included this advanced functionality as a free upgrade.”
Among other key advances included in the newest version are a centralized client management interface, the optional ability to delete files directly from server storage, improvements in processing and transfer speeds, better exception reporting, and enhanced branding capabilities. These features provide superior functionality for end users, and allow service providers to offer highly customized service levels to their clients.
A full listing of the new version’s features and functionality can be found on the company’s website at http://remote-backup.com/2006upgrades.htm
