A Real Find Design Family Consignment Shop Opens Their Doors

A new family consignment shop specializing in Womens, Children's and Maternity clothing opens in Battle Ground, Wa. The new family owned and operated shop named A Real Find Design opened it's doors on January 4th, 2010.

Vancouver, WA, January 05, 2010 --(PR.com)-- In the midst of an economy that has possibly seen more business’ going “out” than “in”, two generations of family are pulling together to create a new 20002 ft. retail business in Battle Ground, WA.

The Morey and Wolfe families are proud to announce the opening of A Real Find Design, a consignment shop in Downtown Battle Ground, located on the corner of 10th and Main streets. A Real Find Design is a family consignment shop, specializing in Women’s and Children’s clothing and accessories. Patrons can bring good quality, used clothing and accessories in to the store and earn cash for them through sales in the store and online.

“We realize that many folks have donated good, quality clothing in the past to charitable organizations, but in today’s economic climate, more and more people are turning towards consignment as a cash earning alternative when cleaning out their closets” states Travis Wolfe. Travis states that online research shows many shops are seeing as much as a 35% increase in consignments and sales this year.

The store is a culmination of years of entrepreneurship and vision by both parties. The store is owned by Walt and Marlene Morey, proprietors of Morey Remodel & Construction out of Battle Ground, WA. When the construction and remodeling business went south, Walt and Marlene started thinking of new ways to earn an income. Enter Travis & Maya Wolfe (parents to 4 boys ages 10-12), both prior real estate professionals and currently in the same boat. “Being self employed in the past has not been the best thing for us when it comes to finding work. It’s almost a black mark on your resume these days.” states Travis. “One night we were talking about business ideas. In particular, selling things on eBay, and Maya mentioned she and Marlene thought about opening a consignment shop one day” Travis says. And with that statement, the ball started rolling. Just a few short weeks later, with piles of paperwork and research in hand, the decision was made to take the leap into retail. Travis is quoted as saying: “Maya has a strong background in retail, prior to real estate, and I have the background in inventory and computer’s to handle the store’s computerized inventory and accounting systems. Marlene has an accounting background and Walt is handy at just about everything, rounding out the talent needed to pull this thing off.” “We are all very excited! Even our 4 boys are talking about how much fun it will be working with Mom, Dad, Grandma and Grandpa at the store” Maya Says.

A Real Find Design opens its doors on January 4th, 2010, with a grand opening scheduled for the last week in January. The website is up, and the company is offering discounts to individuals who join their e-club at www.ARealFindDesign.com.
