Portland, OR, January 08, 2010 --(PR.com
)-- Today, One Coin Comics released its debut title for the iPhone and iPod touch, Foxfire #1: Fox Awakens, free through the iTunes App Store. The One Coin Comics platform enables choose-your-own-adventure story forks, transitions, inventory items, and multiple languages.
“Foxfire is a great story that shows off the potential of our platform, but it’s only the start,” said One Coin Comics CEO, Ken Brady. “We intend the One Coin Comics platform to enable comic and manga writers and artists to build and submit their own titles, using advanced interactive features such as forking, inventory, transitions, mini-games, and multiple languages.”
One Coin Comics is currently working with interested artists who want to use the platform to enable and distribute their work on the iPhone/iPod touch platform. Artists set the price of their own work, and One Coin Comics distributes it under a revenue-sharing arrangement.
One Coin Comics also plans an interactive submission system for launch in Q2 2010, which allows comic writers and artists to create and submit their own work online.
“It’s a great way to democratize the creation and distribution of comics,” Ken Brady commented. “And the iPhone and iPod touch are great platforms to enjoy comics on. We’re looking forward to helping comics and manga fans find fantastic new artists—and exciting new stories.”
