Classical Violin Concert at McCormick Museum on February 21

Wheaton, IL, January 08, 2010 --(PR.com)-- Cantigny’s Robert R. McCormick Museum will present “The Romantic Violin” on Sunday, February 21, at 3 pm.

The special concert, in the museum’s Freedom Hall, will feature music for violin by Tchaikovsky, Mozart, Beethoven and Rachmaninoff. Elmhurst Symphony Orchestra's Music Director Stephen Alltop (piano) and Concertmaster Rika Seko (violin) will perform.

Ticket distribution for this free event is by lottery due to limited seating. Those who wish to attend should call 630 260 8162 by February 8. Names will be drawn and ticket recipients notified by February 12. The tickets are complimentary but Cantigny’s $5 per vehicle parking fee will apply.

The McCormick Museum is a historic house museum interpreting the life and legacy of Colonel Robert R. McCormick, former editor and publisher of the Chicago Tribune. Museum hours in February are 10am – 4pm Friday through Sunday. The Museum opens Tuesday through Sunday beginning March 2. It is closed in January.
