Der Scutt Architect Engaged for 1615 L Street Renovation Project

New York, NY, January 07, 2010 --(PR.com)-- Spitzer Engineering, LLC has engaged Der Scutt Architect as its design consultant for the renovation of 1615 L Street NW in Washington, DC., a 13 story office building.

Der Scutt Architect is removing the façade from the bottom three floors and replacing with a new low-E energy efficient curtain wall. The project includes a structural glass entrance, fritted glass and stainless steel canopy and Jet Mist granite pavers. The lobby design features new cherry wood paneling, ornamental glass and LED lighting.

“1615 L Street is a unique office building due to its prime location near the White House and existing architectural features including an interior atrium. Our design complements the existing glass wall and interior finishes while modernizing the building for the future,” said Hagen Scutt AIA, Senior Architect and Project Manager for Der Scutt Architect.

Construction is slated to begin summer 2010.
