New York, NY, January 14, 2010 --(PR.com)-- Jeff Schachter, Managing Director, Greystone & Co., a privately held real estate finance and investment company with 4,000 employees and $10 billion of assets under management, will participate at GoldenNetworking.com's Distressed Investing Leaders Forum 2010, February 26th, in New York City. This Leaders Forum will include an industry-wide networking reception that will attract more than 200 members of the Distressed Investing community in the country, including executives, professionals and entrepreneurs in hedge funds, private equity firms, financial sponsors, investment banks, limited and general partnerships, lenders, accounting and law firms, and portfolio companies.

Mr. Schachter was Co-founder and Managing Partner of Cedarview Capital Management, a credit hedge fund. Mr. Schachter and his partner launched Cedarview in August 2004 with $50 million and grew the firm to peak assets of $670 million with 19 full-time employees. Prior to launching Cedarview, Mr. Schachter was a Managing Director at Samco Capital Markets from 2003-2004. Mr. Schachter spent June 2000 through March 2003 as a Director of Sales and Trading at SG Cowen Securities. At SG Cowen he was instrumental in restructuring the sales and trading effort, bringing it to profitability during his tenure after four previous years of consistent losses. Mr. Schachter was part of the initial start up of BancBoston Robertson Stephens’ high-yield effort from January 1997 through May 2000. Mr. Schachter began his Wall Street career at Jefferies & Company in March 1995. Mr. Schachter received a Juris Doctor degree from Boalt Hall School of Law at the University of California at Berkeley in 1990 and a B.S. degree in Economics from the University of California at Berkeley in 1986, where he graduated with Phi Beta Kappa honors.
