IPTV Service Provider Auroras Entertainment Signs Content Deals with Eight New Programming Partners

Kalispell, MT, October 19, 2006 --(PR.com)-- IPTV service provider Auroras Entertainment is pleased to announce that it has entered into digitization and transport agreements with The Outdoor Channel, The Sportsman’s Channel, MavTV, Trinity Broadcast Networks (TBN, Church Channel, JCTV, TBN Enlace USA and Smile of a Child), TuTV, and HRTV.

These agreements add to the suite of channels that Auroras brings to market for a total lineup of over 120 channels of broadcast content. Auroras has been conducting field trails since June of 2006 and anticipates that its full suite of IPTV services will be commercially available early in the first quarter of 2007.

Auroras has been at the forefront of working with both the new MPEG4 AVC standard and programmers. The end-to-end IPTV solution from Auroras completely addresses the two largest requirements imposed by content providers: quality and security. The Auroras solution provides all content in full resolution and securely encrypts that content all the way through playback at the consumer’s household. In addition, Auroras provides both programmers and operators with third-party audit capabilities, ensuring accurate settlement by all parties.

“Auroras is dedicated to providing our customers with the widest variety and highest quality of video programming channels available,” stated Diane Smith, CEO of Auroras. “Bringing The Outdoor Channel, The Sportsman’s Channel, MavTV, the Trinity Networks, TuTV, and HRTV into the Auroras solution is a large step toward achieving that goal. Strong relationships with these programming partners will be imperative in delivering the enhanced viewing experience that our IPTV customers and their subscribers will know and appreciate.”

“As the nation’s # 1 provider of outdoor lifestyle programming, we are pleased to expand our reach through Auroras, whose commitment to quality and diversity parallels that of our own,” said Amy Hendrickson, SVP of Affiliate Sales & Marketing for The Outdoor Channel.

“The advanced, on-demand infrastructure of the Auroras IPTV solution provides these networks with niche programming with a platform to build their brand, launch new on-demand services, create dynamic non-linear channels, and drive new revenue streams to consumers with a hungry appetite for content,” said Tracy Anderson, Senior Vice President of Content for Auroras.
