Asta Publications’ Author is First Place Winner in Pine-Sol’s “Women Making a DifferenceTM” Contest

Pine-Sol announced the winners of “Women Making Difference,” a nationwide contest they sponsor for the Powerful DifferenceTM, which was started in January 2007 to celebrate the power of ordinary women to effect extraordinary change. The campaign honors women from communities across the country.

Atlanta, GA, January 19, 2010 --(PR.com)-- Lily Ratliff, writer, educator, entrepreneur, and speaker, won first place in Pine-Sol’s Women Making a Difference contest. Lily, once a product of adoption, is dedicated to ensuring that children in the foster care system are not forgotten. Lily donated a percentage of the proceeds from the release party of her new children’s book, “An Act of Forgiveness” to EMBRACE, a statewide organization within Georgia that addresses the critical need for additional qualified foster families and establishes new standards and practices of excellence in foster care. An independent 501(c) (3) organization, EMBRACE is a public-private partnership that evolved from the work of the First Lady’s Children’s Cabinet, the Department of Human Resources and community stakeholders and civic leaders.

Lily is an honorary member of Cambridge Who’s Who for Entrepreneurs, Professionals, and Executives and was a finalist in the 2008 Next Generation Indie Book Awards for Best Overall Design. Lily is also a dynamic inspirational speaker who has been sought after by churches, writing circles, schools, and community organizations to motivate, encourage, and inspire today’s youth. She also owns and operates "Everything That's Lily, LLC," an online book and inspirational jewelry business. Lily resides in Lithonia, Georgia, with her daughter, Asia Denise.
