Stephen Hamstra, "Legend in Energy" Lifetime Achievement Award Winner, Joins Greensleeves LLC as Chief Technology Officer

Stephen Hamstra, P.E., HBDP, CGD LEED® AP joins Greensleeves LLC to advance technology allowing for 35-50% lower utility bills without increasing construction cost.

Findlay, OH, January 19, 2010 --( W. Michael Linn, President and CEO, today announced that Stephen Hamstra, a highly recognized expert in energy efficiency and green building technology has joined Greensleeves LLC as the Chief Technology Officer. In this role, Mr. Hamstra will lead company research activities aimed at developing technologies to deliver much more cost effective, energy efficient buildings.

“People resist constructing energy efficient buildings because of their high up-front costs,” said Mr. Hamstra. “Buildings consume 40% of the energy in today’s world. If the U.S. is really serious about conservation and reducing our carbon footprint, we have to make energy efficient buildings cost competitive with conventional construction.”

He was honored by the Association of Energy Engineers with the organization’s “Legend in Energy” lifetime achievement award in 2007. In addition, Mr. Hamstra has been awarded the Energy Engineer of the Year; and was also selected by the Association of Energy Engineers as the 2006 Energy Engineer of the Year in Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Michigan, Minnesota, Ohio and Wisconsin.
