Former Microsoft SharePoint Marketer Thiebaud Joins K2

Redmond, WA, January 20, 2010 --(PR.com)-- Software company K2 today announced the hiring of its new vice president of marketing, Jerome Thiebaud.

Before joining K2 (www.k2.com), Thiebaud developed and implemented successful marketing policies and product development strategies for Microsoft Office and Windows. He spent three and a half years as senior product manager for Microsoft SharePoint and was a driving force in bringing to market SharePoint Designer 2007, a software product that simplified the creation and management of SharePoint sites, business applications and workflows.

“Jerome brings an invaluable perspective and skill set to the K2 team,” said K2’s Adriaan van Wyk, CEO. “We obsess about innovation and making our customers’ lives easier. Jerome’s talent, experience and track record strengthen this company significantly, as we continue to create and evolve our software and as we position our products within the market.

“We were fortunate to land him.”

Among other efforts at Microsoft, including a stint as senior product manager for Windows 7, Thiebaud orchestrated the SharePoint Designer product launch through development of high-impact marketing strategies that incorporated branding, pricing, packaging and channel distribution.

“While working on the SharePoint marketing team, I had the opportunity to study the BPM market, and K2 struck me as true leaders in their field,” Thiebaud said. “I was extremely impressed by the talented people I met at K2 and the innovative technologies behind K2 blackpearl and K2 blackpoint.

“Those reasons motivated me to join K2 as the new VP of Marketing and contribute to the success of the company.”

Thiebaud's experience also includes marketing roles with General Motors and Ford Motor Company.

He is in the process of expanding his marketing team and planning for upcoming K2 product releases.
