NSCM’s Career Management Certification System (CMCS) Now WIA Approved

The National Society of Career Management is proud to announce that their Career Management Certification System (CMCS) training course has been approved as a Workforce Investment Act (WIA) eligible program. This means that government funding is now available to pay tuition for qualified students.

Austin, TX, January 31, 2010 --(PR.com)-- Classes begin February 21st at St. Edward’s University Professional Education Center. Through this new program, students can be active in the workforce in 10 weeks of classroom instruction and training. The WIA covers the entire cost of certification including the 60-hour course, student textbook and examination fee, which totals $2609.

The CMCS is a comprehensive training program that prepares people with a desire to be in the career coaching industry with the Professional in Career Management (PCM) credential. The course teaches students the necessary skills to facilitate career decision making and planning with individuals. Our training program enables people to work for a variety of employers including universities, workforce development offices, corporate employers and private practice such as outplacement, human resource and career coaching consulting firms.

Gaining this approval indicates that the Texas:
· Recognizes the great need for career management as a professional skill in order to increase employment, job retention, earning and career advancement of US worker as specified by the Department of Labor.
· Has identified career management as a high growth industry and credentialing as a necessary step in workforce preparation and talent development.
