Duluth, GA, February 02, 2010 --(PR.com
)-- WGUR 88.9 FM, Georgia College & State University’s radio station, exceeded sales goals during the 2009 fall semester with the help of Salesnet.
Salesnet, a customer relationship management (CRM) system, is donating its system and training to WGUR in an effort to give back to the community by exposing college students to the sales industry and helping them develop their sales skills. Salesnet is an online customer relationship management tool that helps sales teams increase productivity, effectiveness, and organization.
"We appreciate Salesnet donating its software to WGUR. It allows our students working in sales the opportunity to execute a sales strategy based on best practices and to organize their day," said Angela Criscoe, the faculty advisor for WGUR. "It also gives them insight to how sales teams work in the industry. Salesnet has been an asset to our operation and we are appreciative of this opportunity."
Salesnet began donating its product to WGUR this past fall semester in an effort to launch its "College Media Donation Program". Salesnet plans to offer the software to other college media programs that use advertising as a way to raise funds.
"Our offer to college radio stations is our way to give back to the community," said Katie Farmer, Advertising and Public Relations Manager at Salesnet. "If any college radio station is interested, visit the 'Giving Back' page on the Salesnet website for more information."
