Underwater Ship Repair and Maintenance Available from New Hydrex Port Gentil Site

Clearwater, FL, February 03, 2010 --(PR.com)-- Underwater ship repair and maintenance (http://www.hydrex.be) and offshore repair and maintenance services are now available from the newest Hydrex office in Port Gentil, Gabon, West Africa as part of the Hydrex international expansion plans. The Port Gentil office working closely with the Hydrex world headquarters office in Antwerp, Belgium, is an added benefit to the area and draws from Hydrex’ long tradition and innovation in the underwater ship repair and offshore industry.

“Readiness for all possible eventualities is an essential core value for our company that provides underwater repair and maintenance services to vessels and the off shore industry worldwide. Opening new offices in strategic locations worldwide allows us to respond even more quickly to our customers saving them valuable time and money,” says Kristof Adam, Executive Administrator, Hydrex world headquarters in Belgium.

The new Hydrex office in Port Gentil is well positioned in Cape Lopez Bay. Port Gentil is a general and bulk cargo port and also has its own limited oil facilities. It is the only port on the Gabon coast with a bunkering service, offering safe anchorage for all types of vessels (up to ULCC) on a sand/mud seabed with depths up to 50 meters and more. Thanks to the sheltered environment of the bay the swell is limited. This combined with its central location on the African west sea coast makes it the ideal place to have ship, barge, or rig repair and maintenance work carried out in the best circumstances.

Hydrex West Africa has professionally trained divers at its disposal, ready to mobilize immediately to service vessels in Port Gentil or any other suitable location in Africa. All maintenance and repair work will be carried out following the necessary safety measures and according to the class approved Hydrex procedures. This offers ship owners the highest quality standards in the shortest possible timeframe (http://www.hydrex.be/certification.htm).

Underwater ship repair and maintenance (http://www.hydrex.be) company, Hydrex N.V. was founded in Antwerp, Belgium in 1974. The company, serving both the shipping and offshore industry, has grown to become one of the leading international companies providing a comprehensive range of underwater maintenance and repair services.
