NEUROSURGERY® Launches Neurosurgery Report

Atlanta, GA, February 03, 2010 --(PR.com)-- NEUROSURGERY®, the official journal of the Congress of Neurological Surgeons, is pleased to announce the unveiling of Neurosurgery Report (http://neurosurgerycns.wordpress.com), an online compendium of topical news, editorial content and supplemental multimedia. Neurosurgery Report is part of a comprehensive online strategy to expand the online footprint of NEUROSURGERY® into social media sites, such as FaceBook, Twitter and YouTube.

“Neurosurgery Report serves a number of functions for NEUROSURGERY®,” states Managing Editor, Duncan A. MacRae. “Most importantly, it pushes content out to our readership that otherwise would remain largely unseen. We view supplemental video and audio not simply as ancillary material, but as an opportunity to promote content that has yet to appear in print. Increasing the exposure of our author’s work and creating some excitement and anticipation about an upcoming article is an essential part of our online strategy.”

Along with providing daily news and content updates, Neurosurgery Report also provides direct links to highlighted content on the journal’s official web site, http://www.neurosurgery-online.com. Editor's Choice selections and articles Published Ahead-of-Print can be accessed directly from Neurosurgery Report. Using RSS technology, items posted in Neurosurgery Report are automatically fed to the NEUROSURGERY® FaceBook page and Twitter feed.
