TwitBacks Hosts AFI Twitter Background Contest
Twitter background personalization site, TwitBacks, hosts Twitter background design contest for rock band, AFI.
Grover Beach, CA, February 04, 2010 --(PR.com)-- Rock band, AFI, is partnering with Twitter background site, TwitBacks, to host a design contest promoting their latest album. Using AFI’s “Crash Love” album artwork and other stock images provided on the official contest page, entrants are to create and submit an original Twitter background. The winning design will be displayed on the band’s official Twitter page, which currently has more than 31,000 followers, and prizes will also be awarded for the top three designs.
TwitBacks will run the contest on their site beginning February 1, 2010, where AFI fans and designers can enter their original Twitter background designs for consideration. While the band will decide on the top winner, fans and visitors will vote on all of the submissions to determine the two runner-up designs. Contest entrants are encouraged to promote their designs via social media and other means to draw in as many votes as possible for their entry.
“We’re obviously proponents of personalizing your Twitter background in order to create maximum impact”, says Misty Lackie, CEO of Go Smart Solutions, LLC, the creators of TwitBacks. “We’re excited to host AFI’s contest on our site to see all of the original designs people come up with.”
The first-place winner will have their design featured on AFI’s official Twitter page, as well as receive a limited edition autographed AFI lithograph set, a Crash Love necklace, and a copy of the band’s new album Crash Love. The backgrounds are then branded with the user’s logo, photo, and other information, including social media and website URLs and a short bio.
