Dr. Diab Joins HealthONE, Opens New Oncology Practice

Colorado Integrative Cancer Care, the Denver Metro’s only integrative oncology practice, is now located at The Medical Center of Aurora.

Aurora, CO, February 10, 2010 --(PR.com)-- Sami George Diab, M.D., medical oncology specialist, joined HealthONE at The Medical Center of Aurora January 1, 2010 and opened Denver Metro’s only multidisciplinary, integrative oncology practice, Colorado Integrative Cancer Care (CICC).

CICC was created in response to the increasing patient demand for integrative oncology – healing-oriented medicine that takes account for the whole person (body, mind and spirit), including all aspects of lifestyle – and offers treatment that combines mainstream cancer care with evidence-based, complementary therapies.

“I am thrilled to be a part of HealthONE at The Medical Center of Aurora,” said Dr. Diab, medical director, CICC. “They have always been strong advocates of patient care and are committed to improving oncology care by providing integrative services, which are not easily available.

“To win the fight against cancer, it is essential to take a holistic approach by integrating surgery, chemotherapy and radiation with complementary modalities, including mind-body techniques, nutritional counseling, acupuncture and supplements. Colorado Integrated Cancer Care is unique in this approach because we are truly taking care of the whole patient – their mind, body and spirit.”

“The addition of Dr. Diab to our team is extraordinary,” said John Hill, CEO, The Medical Center of Aurora. “His contribution to the medical community as a whole, and specifically to oncology, is remarkable. As the hospital continues to excel in oncology treatment, I am confident that Dr. Diab will elevate our services to new heights and will continue a long tradition of exceptional patient care at The Medical Center of Aurora.”

CICC is in a temporary location at 1444 S. Potomac St., Suite 280. The office can be reached by calling 720-282-2325.
