San Mateo County Fair Announces Celebrity Concert Line-Up with Two Nights of Tower of Power. Rick Springfield, En Vogue and Eddie Money Among Headliners

The San Mateo County Fair announces the 2010 renowned free entertainment series scheduled to perform nightly with a celebrity roster at the San Mateo County Fair, June 12-20, 2010.

San Mateo, CA, February 12, 2010 --(PR.com)-- The San Mateo County Fair announces the 2010 renowned free entertainment series scheduled to perform nightly with a celebrity roster at the San Mateo County Fair, June 12-20, 2010.

A sure favorite this year is Paramount Laser Spectacular’s Tribute to Michael Jackson, an amazing multi-media experience spanning his forty-year career, the show takes the audience on a visual journey highlighted with a stunning live performance featured in a ghost-like atmosphere, lasers and special effects. Through the use of animated laser graphics, laser beams and aerials, the lights and lasers re-create images of Jackson with 3-D holographic effects. The audience will be taken on a sonic journey through Jackson’s greatest hits by confronting your senses with an array of glowing visual displays and music. Performance date and time: Saturday, June 12th at 7:30p.m.

A special performance by one of the first Latin Kings of Comedy is actor and comedian Paul Rodriquez who joins the free entertainment line-up. Spend an evening belly laughing and snorting to Paul Rodriquez’s wit and humor that keeps you on your toes - a performance that is sure to entertain the whole family and every one of all cultures. Performance date and time: Sunday, June 13th at 7:30p.m.

“Two Tickets to Paradise” will get you a free performance by rockstar Eddie Money who brings his trademark raspy husky voice to the San Mateo County Fair’s main stage. Playing both classic songs from past albums and new beats from Money’s most recent released album in 2008 Gimme Some Water, this is will be a sing-a-long you won’t want to miss. Performance date and time: Tuesday, June 15th at 7:30p.m.

Bay Area legends of soul and R&B music, Tower of Power, return to the San Mateo County Fair by popular demand to perform two nights back-to-back! Playing hits such as “What Is Hip” and “You’re Still a Young Man,” the group keeps the Bay Area coming back for more amazing tunes. An in concert mix of brass, funk and harmony they’re a sure fire performance that will take the night away. Performance date and time: Wednesday June 16th at 7:30p.m. and Thursday, June 17th at 7:30p.m.

Rock icon, Rick Springfield, a Grammy-Award winner, singer, songwriter and actor, hits the San Mateo County Fair stage to sweep you away to another decade. Dance the night away with classic songs such as “Jessie’s Girl” and “Love Somebody.” Performance date and time: Friday, June 18th at 7:30p.m.

One of the most popular and successful female groups of all time, En Vogue, celebrates their 20th anniversary at the San Mateo County Fair. This Grammy nominated group shares their milestone with a reunion of all original members: Cindy Herron-Bragg, Terry Ellis, Dawn Robinson and Maxine Jones. Come celebrate with iconic En Vogue for a very special night of fan favorite songs. Performance date and time: June 19th at 7:30p.m.

Closing the Fair is one of the most popular events, Dia de la Feria, a day-long celebration of the Bay Area’s Spanish influence, with special entertainment, dance performances and music played throughout the grounds. Exceptional appearances and performances from La Raza 93.3FM join the festivities with an extraordinary line-up. All main stage entertainment is complimentary with admission to the Fair.
