CALL-ing All Band Lovers to Didsbury

Manchester, United Kingdom, February 13, 2010 --(PR.com)-- Greater Manchester cancer charity CALL is hosting an evening of band entertainment at Emmanuel Church in Didsbury on Saturday 27th February.

Poynton Royal British Legion Concert Band, comprising brass, woodwind and percussion, will be entertaining the audience and money raised will go to CALL, to help the charity continue its support work in the local community and the concert band.

Keith Hatton, operations manager for CALL and musical director of Poynton RBL Concert Band, said: “This will be a highly entertaining night of great music and we look forward to welcoming you. CALL relies on events such as this to raise awareness of CALL, to people affected by cancer who would really benefit from our services, but are not aware that we are here for them.”

CALL offers emotional and practical support for people who have and have had cancer and also those living with the effects of the disease, such as families, friends and carers. Where possible, the charity also offers support for those with other long term illnesses.

The night starts at 7.15pm and entry costs £5 (£4 for concessions) on the night or in advance. Telephone 0161 737 5110 for tickets and further details.
