Stars Come Out for 29th Annual CineFestival en San Antonio

Gallardo, Estrada attend Latin Film Fest

San Antonio, TX, October 30, 2006 --(PR.com)-- Several stars of the Latin entertainment world arrived in the Alamo City to take part in the 29th Annual CineFestival en San Antonio held at the Guadalupe Cultural Arts Center in San Antonio, Texas October 26-28, 2006. The festival presented thirty-one films over three days.

Latin celebrities from Hollywood to Mexico City were in attendance including Jade Esteban Estrada (Comedy Central), Gizeht Galatea (Curandero), Carlos Gallardo (Curandero, El Bandido), Eduardo Arroyuelo (7 Dias) and Ivan Thompson (Cowboy del Amor).

The Premio Mesquite Awards presented honors to the Robert Rodriguez film "Curandero" for Best Cinematography, "7 Dias" for Best Feature, "Cowboy del Amor" for Best Documentary and "El Doctor" for Best Short.

Director Fernando Kalife (7 Dias) led one of several panel discussions. Film related workshops were held at the Cesar Chavez Center.

"CineFestival only presents the best of the best which for me includes the work of Robert Rodriguez and Fernando Kalife," stated Estrada, star of the upcoming independent gay Latin film "The Bad Singer."
