The Secret Garden Party Unveils New Record Label

The Secret Garden Party unveils new record label, Garden Records with its debut release, The Jessie Rose Trip.

London, United Kingdom, February 17, 2010 --(PR.com)-- Following the success of yet another sold-out Secret Garden Party event in July 2009 and the sold-out Christmas Voyage show at London’s Troxy venue last December, Secret Productions are pleased to announce the launch of a new record label, Garden Records.

The first single to be released on the indie will be ‘You Won’t Forget Me Boy’ by The Jessie Rose Trip via download on March 22nd. The track, released by Garden Records alongside Sidewalk 7, will be available to pre-order from www.townsend-records.co.uk/product.php?pType=6&pId=1000260 then available from all digital retailers from March 22nd.

The Secret Garden Party, a truly unique festival, was launched in 2003 by Fred ‘The Head Gardener’ Fellowes. It has since gone on to capture the essence of the great, heady British summertime, achieving two ‘Best Small Festival’ wins at the UK Festival Awards and has appeared on countless lists of unmissable UK events. It has now moved status to a medium-sized event. Fellowes was recently featured in the Top 5 Courvoisier ‘Future 500’ entrepreneurs, celebrated for his dedication to designing experiential parties for twenty and thirty-somethings. They say there are no spectators at The Secret Garden Party… only participants. Musically, the event has seen early performances from Lily Allen, Florence and the Machine, Noah and the Whale, The XX and many more, and now looks to take that involvement from its followers, and lust for new music, to the next level.

The Jessie Rose Trip have fused the acclaimed jazz influences of their early sound with a very spacious, sharp modern pop feel. Their new single ‘You Won’t Forget Me Boy’, which launches Garden Records, follows lauded performances across the UK, Europe and New York’s CMJ music festival as well as live radio sessions including Mark Lamarr’s Radio 2 show from Maida Vale, as Music Week posted, “their soulful, powerful vocals, idiosyncratic and highly original music, and fantastic dress sense spit star power.”

While in the States they recorded ‘You Won’t Forget Me Boy’ at the legendary Village Recorder Studios in LA, courtesy of John Kennedy’s ‘X-Posure’ show. It’s their most versatile, charismatic and popful single to date, showing their inspirations from Jimi Hendrix to The doors, with a twist of Motown into their own unique performing style.

The Jessie Road Trip will be playing a special invite-only show at Camden’s Blues Kitchen on Tuesday 9th March. Please rsvp below. Tour dates to be announced soon.
