HandsetDetection.com Launches New Advanced Mobile Website Redirection Service

HandsetDetection.com, the internet's premier mobile detection service, launches mobile website redirection service with extended mobile analytics and device detection.

Melbourne, Australia, February 18, 2010 --(PR.com)-- Handset Detection helps designers and website owners detect and deliver tailored content when website views/hits originate from a mobile phone. The service features a new advanced auto-classification system designed specifically for the ever expanding number of Android Devices hitting the market. Additional new features include screen size detection for displaying optimized web content or templates, as well as web-modules for easy "Click to call" and "Click to SMS".

The mobile analytics service provides deep handset specific insight into the devices accessing a website. Key metrics include screen size, operating system, as well as country, carrier, vendor and model information. This detail allows for more targeted and appropriate content delivery as well as enabling more refinement of web presence design and UI. The mobile analytics dashboard also provides extensive graphing and full mobile history downloads so clients can grind their own stats based on the raw detection results if they prefer.

Critical in offering successful device detection is the number of devices that can be recognized. HandsetDetection.com has increased its device fingerprint database to 29160 mobile devices, and growing daily.

As part of broader enhancements to the scalability and stability of the service, and to ensure an enterprise grade service is maintained, HandsetDetection.com has migrated to the amazon web service (AWS) environment.

To help build a bigger picture related to the growth of mobile web usage, HandsetDetection.com releases free monthly reports detailing the most popular devices used to access the web in easy to read country by country reports. These reports can be downloaded here: http://bit.ly/RawReports

HandsetDetection.com is Australian owned and operated. Launched in 2008, their directors have a background of mobile application and mobile service development for companies in the UK and Oceania.
