The Nevels Sisters recently won a national talent search where the Grand Prize was a record deal with major record label Gospocentric Records and a production deal with PAJAM, one of the most sought-after production teams in the music industry today.

Detroit, MI, October 31, 2006 --(PR.com)-- Contemporary gospel singing sensations, the Nevels Sisters, are the first Grand Prize winners of the Gospel F.O.C.U.S. (Find Out Can U Sing) national talent search sponsored by The Word Network and Frontline Productions. The Nevels Sisters' coveted win secured them a one album recording deal with Gospocentric Records where they will be labelmate with such artists as Byron Cage, Dorinda Clark-Cole, Kurt Carr, Kirk Franklin and Dave Hollister. Included as part of their prize package, the Nevels Sisters' new CD project will be produced by PAJAM, one of the most sought-after production teams in the music industry today. Held Oct. 13 at Second Ebenezer Church in Detroit, the Gospel F.O.C.U.S. finals featured special guests like star gospel artists Kim Burrell, Vanessa Bell Armstrong and J. Moss, also of PAJAM.

The Nevels Sisters--Veneice Andrews, Debra Jordan, Gail Nevels and April Wade--four biological sisters from Youngstown, Ohio, certainly proved that they can sing as they outshone 12 other finalists to captivate the enthusiastic audience and celebrity judges with their urban-style original song "Company" from their 2005 independently released project "It's About Time." The Nevels Sisters reigned victorious from an original pool of more than 1,500 auditioned acts, pared down to 350, then the top 70 and 28 and eventually the 13 finalists that competed for the impressive Gospel F.O.C.U.S. Grand Prize. In addition to a recording deal accompanied with a stellar production team, the talented Nevels Sisters also won a $5,000 cash prize, their own 30-minute show on The Word Network, a full-page ad and story write-up in Gospel Truth Magazine (GTM), a single on GTM compilation CD, website and video presence on gospeltruthmagazine.com and an all-expense-paid trip to Bermuda.

Having performed together since childhood, the Nevels Sisters are seasoned vocalists who have appeared at Megafest, Gospel Superfest, Kurt Carr's Gold Celebration and several other notable venues. Additionally, the sisters have shared the stage with gospel superstars like Vickie Winans, Karen Clark-Sheard, Mary Mary, Dorothy Norwood, The Williams Brothers, Keith "Wonderboy" Johnson and others. Recently, the Nevels Sisters were featured in the New Artist Spotlight on the Bobby Jones Gospel Countdown and Radio Show which airs on Sheridan Gospel Network and American Urban Radio Networks covering over 70 radio markets across the United States.

Almost immediately, the Nevels Sisters will start production on their new CD with Gospocentric Records. A projected release date has not been announced. For more information, contact Louise Moore at 770-895-5331 or Louise@LTLentertainment.com.
