Congestive Heart Failure Books by Author Lon Maisttison

Hanover, MD, February 26, 2010 --(PR.com)-- “Kissed by Death II” is the newest version of the self-help book based on the authors own experiences with Congestive Heart Failure (CHF). Lon original wrote “Kissed by Death” exclusively for the CHF patient in the home, the life after the hospital environment. The updated book addresses the technical aspects of CHF; causes, symptoms, diagnosis and medications. It talks about simple aerobic and resistance weight training exercises to strengthen the body including the heart. It focuses on a low sodium diet and how to read food and ingredient labels, and building a sodium database. The second half of the book deals with the Mediterranean diet and profiles the author’s own low-sodium, good-carb, Mediterranean Style Eating and cooking methods that have been essential to the success of his recovery.

About the Author
Lon Maisttison is a Systems Network Engineer for Northrop Grumman. He previously worked as a Senior Technical Engineer for AT&T Government Solutions. He is a former instructor in the Education Department of Ford Aerospace’s “Little Red School House” in Maryland where he developed instructional courseware and taught computer maintenance courses. Lon is the author of the Air Rescue Series of books, with the recent release titled: “The Two Sisters of Kuwait”. Lon has a Bachelors' degree in Liberal Studies from Excelsior College and a Technical Electronics Engineering (E.E.) degree from Valparaiso Technical Institute.
