Seminal Films, LLC is a film company specializing in independent film acquisition and production. Seminal Films has acquired many films this year, including Oscar-nominated Liam Neeson’s Resting Places and the documentary On The Line starring Academy Award-winning Susan Surandon and Martin Sheen. Culver Studios is an independent production facility in Los Angeles, California. Since its inception in 1918, the studio has changed ownership multiple times, home to such names as RKO Pictures, Howard Hughes, Desilu Studios and Sony. It is now owned by PCCP Studio City Los Angeles.
Through the years, this historic studio has been the site for many films, including Gone With The Wind, King Kong, Citizen Kane, and Raging Bull. After television took off in the late 1950’s, it was the birthplace of classics The Andy Griffith Show, Batman, Lassie and the pilot for Star Trek. Currently, though not owned by a major studio, it operates as an independent lot accommodating various films, commercials, music videos, special events, and is home to such TV shows as The Bonnie Hunt Show, Scrubs, and the new ABC hit Cougar Town.
