“True Transformation vs. Remodeling the Self” on March 3 “Why Shamanism Now?” with Christina Pratt

On her radio show "Why Shamanism Now? A Practical Path to Authenticity,” teacher, author, and founder of the Last Mask Center for Shamanic Healing Christina Pratt talks about what transformation really means and why it’s so important.

Portland, OR, February 27, 2010 --(PR.com)-- Streaming live on the Voice America Network (www.voiceamerica.com) on Wednesday, March 3, at 2 p.m. Pacific time/5 p.m. Eastern time, on her show "Why Shamanism Now?: A Practical Path to Authenticity,” shaman and founder of the Last Mask Center for Shamanic Healing Christina Pratt asks the question: What does “transformation” really mean and why should we bother? According to Pratt, “In the simplest sense true transformation is an internal change that occurs on a foundational level such that there is no going back. We are not just remodeling the self.”

In this episode of “Why Shamanism Now?” titled “True Transformation vs. Remodeling the Self”, Pratt explains that here are three dynamics of internal movement that when taken together, result in true transformation. Change in any one or two of these, however, leaves us, as philosopher and author Ken Wilbur says, “refining our status quo.” Why should we bother to transform anyway? Pratt tells listeners that a refined status quo is still status quo and will result in a new version of exactly the same life. We choose to truly transform because it is the only path to why we are here. We are all an expressions of the One, but the One shows up uniquely in every sentient being. That uniqueness—to find and express that unique manifestation of the One—is why we are here. According to Pratt, all true transformation matters because it serves the full expression of your Unique Self.
