Extricom Announces WirelessAdvantage Pricing Plan

Per-port bundle pricing significantly lowers costs of enterprise deployments for large customers.

New York, NY, February 28, 2010 --(PR.com)-- Extricom, a designer and manufacturer of high-performance, next generation wireless LAN (WLAN) infrastructure solutions, today announced its WirelessAdvantage pricing plan. WirelessAdvantage is designed to help enterprise customers scale their Extricom WLAN network by providing per-port switch bundle pricing for Extricom’s highly successful 802.11a/b/g/n EXSW-1600 and EXSW-1632C wireless LAN switches.

WirelessAdvantage offers aggressive value-pricing when customers purchase specific quantities of ports, with significant discounts off standard list price for bundles of 128 ports or more. Extricom will use WirelessAdvantage to extend some of the industry’s lowest per-port pricing for an 802.11n blanket solution to its enterprise customer base. WirelessAdvantage also provides additional trade-in credits for existing wireless gear, free network design services for qualified customers, and even more savings if bundled with the Extricom EXNM-2000 Network Management System.

Joshua Farlow, vice president of Streakwave Wireless, Inc. a major Extricom distributor and wireless industry master distributor noted, “Price point is a current barrier when deploying enterprise wireless LAN solutions. Extricom’s decision to implement the WirelessAdvantage pricing plan and lower the per-port cost creates a well defined pricing strategy for large opportunities and aligns with current customer demands.”

The EXSW-1600 wireless LAN switch and EXSW-1632C Switch Cascade are central components of Extricom’s award-winning 802.11n wireless LAN system, and key building blocks for a new generation of business-class wireless infrastructure that scales from a single office to multi-building campuses. The EXSW-1600 and EXSW-1632C deliver voice, data, video, and location services with a resilient and mobile connection to any Wi-Fi client, in any environment. With the proliferation of mobile wireless clients and applications, such as iPhones and iPods, being able to leverage the capacity and performance offered by 802.11n will be critical to meeting the wireless service demands of increasing numbers of users.

Extricom’s Wireless LAN system is a new generation of business-class wireless infrastructure that scales from a single office to multi-building corporate campuses. The system’s unique Channel Blanket architecture delivers simpler design and maintenance, robust wireless connectivity, and seamless mobility. Developed to tackle real-world business challenges, the Extricom WLAN has established its reputation by providing reliable service in some of the harshest environments possible, where other WLANs have failed to perform to expectations.

“Wireless LAN is becoming the user-expected, go-to network infrastructure in most large institutions, and satisfying this expectation that means deploying exponentially larger wireless networks than before.” commented Gideon Rottem, Extricom’s CEO. “Extricom wireless LAN is ideally suited for these kinds of deployments, as has been shown by our successful track record at large organizations such as Texas State Technical College or Kiva Systems. WirelessAdvantage should help our enterprise customers make the crucial transition towards ubiquitous, high-performance wireless network access anywhere on their campuses.”
