First Annual Action Party Mardi Gras Party

Morton Grove, IL, March 04, 2010 --(PR.com)-- The Action Party of Morton Grove promised a festive, fun, food-filled event for their first ever Annual Mardi Gras Party on February 16, 2010. And it was all that and more. Members and friends of the Action Party gathered at Classic Bowl, filled themselves with pizza and sweets while having a great time.

Elected Officials in attendance included Mayor Dan Staackmann, Trustees Larry Gomberg, Bill Grear, Shel Macus, John Thill, Maria Toth and Village Clerk Tony Kalogerakos. Other dignitaries in attendance were Action Party President Mark Matz, Treasurer Lori Gattorna, Secretary Terri Cousar, former Mayor Scanlon, former Trustee and Cable Commissioner Don Sneider, former Trustee Joe Moll and representatives from a number of other organizations. There is no doubt the place to be was in the party room at Classic Bowl last Tuesday evening.

We even had time to learn a Mardi Gras fact. Since 1872 the official Mardi Gras colors and their meaning are: purple representing justice; green, faith; and gold, power.

Mark your calendar now for Tuesday, March 8, 2011 for the 2nd Annual Action Party Mardi Gras Party and you too can share in the excitement of Mardi Gras in Morton Grove.
