Find Your Spiritual Heaven in 2007

Life today demands a new approach to spirituality – not some new-age fluffy approach, but a more contemplative, personal, and tangible one. No longer is it enough simply to show up once a week at the same house of worship you’ve been going to for your whole life and call that a potent spiritual life. Spirituality has always been personal, and now it is time for each of us to delve into our own personal relationship to the divine, according to our personal culture and nature.

Cardiff by the Sea, CA, November 04, 2006 --(PR.com)-- Spirituality is about living up to your highest wisdom and potential, and honoring the greatness of this world. Spirituality is about how you experience, think, feel, and act in each moment.  It is living in harmony with your inner wisdom; having a continuous relationship with the divine as it speaks to you. We all have a great inner wisdom.  Sometimes organized religions can help us to find that deeper wisdom, and sometimes they can obscure and direct us away from the inner wisdom.

Here are some tips for revitalizing and deepening your spiritual life:

• Explore different paths and ideas with openness and humility.  Learn to entertain a philosophy or idea without having to subscribe your whole belief system to it.

• Look for small ways to incorporate spirituality in your everyday life – start each morning with a blessing for the day, begin your meals with gratitude for the food, and practice letting go of all worldly concerns when you prepare for sleep at night.

• Fill your senses with uplifting sights, smells, tastes, touches, and sounds, and make space to spend some time in peaceful silent communion with the divine inside your inner being.

• Take responsibility for your own spiritual journey.  Other people can do many things for you, but your spirituality is your responsibility!

Just as this universe has manifested a rich and wide variety of living beings and things, so it has given each of us our own personalized and unique way to reconnect with the source of our being.  Like a beautiful bouquet of colorful flowers, human beings around the globe consider, worship, and honor God in a colorful array of shapes, sizes, flavors, and forms.  Make the bouquet of your spiritual life fragrant and beautiful.
