Delbert Entertainment Designs for Recording Artist Michael-Ann

Orlando Delbert, Founder and Creative Director for Delbert Entertainment, LLC today announced the re-branding of recording artist, Michael-Ann.

Los Angeles, CA, March 12, 2010 --(PR.com)-- “When Michael-Ann contacted me, she asked me to come up with designs that would really stand out,” said Orlando Delbert. “I wanted to design something that embodies the range of emotion in her lyrics, as well as the vigor in her voice. She has true dimensionality, and I wanted to add a visual component to that. She recently had a photo shoot with Photographer Mila Reynaud. I have to say, Mila did a wonderful job capturing Michael-Ann. Together with Hair and Make-Up Artist Eva Woodby they were able to create some stunning imagery. Her wardrobe on the shoot was provided by Stop Staring Clothing.”

“When I looked at the branding for that genre of music, I saw a lot of the same things. I wanted to design something that would differentiate her from everyone else. I was able to add depth by adding subtle tones, shapes, and textures from elements we see everyday. I used the natural texture from flora from the Southwestern United States. To me it made sense. I was able to create a warmth and organic sense, which is how her music makes me feel.”

Michael-Ann started her musical journey at an early age. Her best memories are from visiting her friend’s musical family in the Ozarks of Missouri. It was there she learned to play guitar with strings 1/2" off the fret. (A painful but rewarding experience)! She would go every weekend and savor the flavor of down home hospitality and song. Each weekend included a musical performance with various members of the extended family. She then decided she wanted to dip her toes in the waters of Nashville. Several record labels were interested in her music; but she chose to travel overseas first to broaden her life experience. Since returning to the States, she has performed in various productions including New York's "Woody Guthrie's American Song"- (a touring show about the life of Woody Guthrie), and has had featured original music in the play: "Sweet Bye and Bye". Now living in Los Angeles, she treasures her musical roots, and has sung with the likes of Ricky Skaggs, The Rainmakers, The Ravens, and has been heard singing on several music compilations.
