UK Commercial Real Estate - Online "Shed" Searches Surge

Online searches regarding commercial property in the UK saw an increase during February – boosted by a sharp rise in interest in the industrial sector – according to the Property Search Index (PSI) compiled by Revolution Public Relations.

London, United Kingdom, March 12, 2010 --(PR.com)-- The monthly report shows that interest levels regarding industrial and distribution property rose dramatically during the month with the overall index score reaching its highest level for several months.

Andrew Barber of Revolution Public Relations comments: “The levels of Google searches for industrial and warehouse property has, over the past four years, hit its peak for the year during the first quarter – so this rise in activity during February is not altogether unexpected.”

Search activity in the retail, office and investment sectors also rose during the month – but not to the same degree as the industrial market.

Andrew concludes: “The overall figures for the Property Search Index have, with the exception of December, been fairly stable over a period of several months with fluctuations within certain sectors. These fluctuations appear to follow patterns of previous years and the overall stability hopefully points to a sustained recovery of the markets.”
