Happy with Their 1st K. Hovnanian Home, Tom and Cheryl Pick Same Builder for Their Next Home

A couple living in a Jersey City townhome, built several years ago by K. Hovnanian Homes, decided they needed to move to a home with no steps. They were so happy with their town home, they chose a new condominium at Crescent Court in Jersey City, built by Matzel & Mumford, a division of K. Hovnanian Homes.

Jersey City, NJ, March 14, 2010 --(PR.com)-- When Cheryl and Tom Schwartz decided the time had come to give up the townhome they’d enjoyed for 16 years, they found a new home at Matzel & Mumford’s Crescent Court, a place in the same city they’ve enjoyed living in and built by K. Hovnanian Homes, the same builder who built their townhome.

Tom and Cheryl moved into K. Hovnanian’s Society Hill in Jersey City in 1993 after moving here from Minneapolis. With both of them working at the Foot Locker office in New York City, the townhome provided them great access to the city as well as convenient shopping, dining and great roads to New Jersey and beyond. But times change, and the couple decided they wanted a place without stairs but with the conveniences they currently enjoy.

“We were really happy with the Society Hill townhome,” said Tom, now retired. “We wouldn’t have sold it if we didn’t have to. Everything was done well.

“We wanted something that would be really nice,” he added. “We were able to afford it because of the increase value from the townhome.”

Tom said their search for a new home brought them to a variety of communities in Jersey City, but when they got to Crescent Court, they liked what they saw and they liked the builder.

“It gave me more confidence,” said Tom, who noted that Matzel & Mumford is a division of K. Hovnanian Homes, the company who built his town home. “I know how they do things.”

Crescent Court fit the bill, said Tom. It provided them with the luxury and value they wanted without being in a high rise. The 54-condominium community offers inside parking and a location near transportation to New York City, shopping and other conveniences. Its side-street location offers the quiet of a cul-de-sac with all the conveniences of city living.

“Now Cheryl can walk to the PATH,” said Tom with a chuckle. “I don’t have to get up and drive her to the station any more.”

Tom and Cheryl are scheduled to move into their home in April. The couple is looking forward to the move.

“We’ve been excited about it for a long time,” Tom said.

Crescent Court includes one-bedroom floor plans starting in the low $300s, and two-bedroom home styles starting in the low $400s. Each contains upscale finishes, full designer kitchens with breakfast bar and a full appliance package, a luxurious master suite and many other amenities. Homes range from 850 square feet to 1,900 square feet. Many of the homes are eligible to take advantage of the new federal home-buyer tax credit, which can be as much as $8,000. A K. Hovnanian sales consultant can help determine eligibility.

In addition to elegant living spaces at great prices, reserved and protected parking, a courtyard and other amenities, Crescent Court offers the peace of mind that an experienced builder brings. Matzel & Mumford is part of K. Hovnanian Homes, which recently was ranked highest in customer satisfaction with new-home builders in Northern New Jersey, according to J.D. Power and Associates.

Located in the Village Section of Downtown Jersey City, Crescent Court is selling rapidly, but still has many great opportunities. For more information, call (201) 222-2745 or click on www.mmhomes.com/crescentcourt.
