Rotary Club of Quincy and Rotary International Honor Local Entrepreneur with Paul Harris Fellow Award

Wendy Simmons, President and Founder of Prism Energy Services receives prestigious award.

Quincy, MA, March 17, 2010 --(PR.com)-- The Quincy Rotary Club held their Million Dollar Meal Fundraiser this February with an academy awards theme, presenting numerous awards to worthy recipients, though none so prestigious as the Paul Harris Fellow award, awarded to an unsuspecting Simmons (chair of the event).

Complete with red carpet, Wendy Simmons, President and Founder of Prism Energy Services, arrived in style to support international projects for Rotary International. Little did she know that her friends and family were waiting in the wings to present her with a prestigious award to show that her support for Quincy Rotary Club and local organizations, as well as worldwide support (in particular for efforts to eradicate polio worldwide through Rotary International), have not gone unnoticed.

The club and all attendees paid tribute to Simmons’s, “commitment to others which exemplifies ‘Service Above Self’ and declared her to be one of the most worthy persons to be recognized as a Paul Harris Fellow for 2010.” John Sharry and Maryanne Peake also received Paul Harris Fellow awards at the evening’s event.

John Pasciucco presented Wendy with the Paul Harris Fellow, named for Paul Harris, who founded Rotary in 1905 with three business associates in Chicago. It is awarded to individuals when a club believes the recipient’s life exemplifies the humanitarian and educational objectives of the Rotary Foundation.
