Group Builds New Social Networking Website

Online social communication for local businesses

Easton, PA, March 23, 2010 --(PR.com)-- When redesigning their website, ReferralWeb decided to use a very familiar design...a social networking format. "Networking is about building relationships through communication. So as more individuals communicate through social networking sites like Facebook, it made sense that the next generation of our website should take on a similar format," says Jeff Bernardino, ReferralWeb Director. The new website allows ReferralWeb members to share online information with business partners in ways that are consistent with how they communicate online with their friends and family. ReferralWeb members can post their own profile, update their status, add friends, view calendar events, share pictures, and participate in online discussions. Like the previous website, the new format still provides organizational and meeting information to visitors and prospective members. Although visitors to the website cannot participate in the social networking aspect of the website, they can now get a glimpse of the organization by browsing member profiles and online discussions.

Over the past year, ReferralWeb adopted the use of social networking platforms like Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, and Meetup into its social marketing plan. "Building a new website like this was just a natural extension of how we already communicate and share information," Bernardino continues. The new ReferralWeb website can be found at http://www.referralweb.net.
