The Grip Weeds Prepare for the Release of “Strange Change Machine,” Their First Studio Album in 5 Years with Two Shows at SXSW 2010

Austin, TX, March 20, 2010 --(PR.com)-- The Grip Weeds head to Austin’s SXSW Festival to kick-start the release of their first studio album in 5 years "Strange Change Machine."

The new album, a double CD, includes 23 tracks of new material and is slated for a May 2010 release on Rainbow Quartz Records.

The Grip Weeds will be offering a Free Download sampler of the album featuring 5 selected tracks exclusively at SXSW.

Strange Change Machine will be available at Gripweeds.com and The Grip Weeds Fan Club Members will be the first to receive the free download version of the album.

The Grip Weeds are guitarist/vocalist Rick Reil and his brother, drummer/lead vocalist Kurt Reil, with Kristin Pinell on guitars and vocals and bassist Michael Kelly.
