Columbus, OH, March 23, 2010 --(PR.com
)-- In times of financial uncertainty throughout the country, mywebWOW!com, an affordable, personal and one-stop shop Web design and marketing company located in the Short North Arts District of Columbus, is showing others how to WOW!themselves and their company—now.
Alongside a panel of some of the most influential and recognizable community figures, the founders of mywebWOW!com will be hosting this seminar, April 29 from 6-9 p.m. at the downtown Courtyard by Marriott, in order to help those interested in the new buzz words of social media, Web design, search engine optimization and business start-up.
Keynote speakers include Gabe Spiegel (former Fox news anchor turned PR guru), Ryan Bauer (Ryanomics Media Clearinghouse and social media expert), Shelley Moore (founder and president of Insight Strategic Concepts), Bruce Heinemann (former fortune 500 CFO, now principal of The Heinemann Group) and Andrew Catapano (founder and CEO of mywebWOW!com).
A portion of the proceeds from the event will go directly to Junior Achievement of Central Ohio. Junior Achievement is an education program taught by community and business volunteers that aims to teach children the fundamentals of entrepreneurship, financial literacy and work readiness. Junior Achievement also stresses to students the importance of staying in school and furthering their education.
In addition, more than a half-dozen recognizable small business owners from local companies such as Barrel 44, The Candle Lab, Tan Envy and Small Business Beanstalk will be on hand to facilitate an “open-forum” panel discussion where they will share stories of personal success and failures and answer attendees’ questions about starting and marketing businesses, and finding their own WOW!factor.
The seminar will provide attendees with the opportunity for networking with community leaders and business experts, and to share real world education with business owners and community members. Attendees will learn a 30 day eMarketing Strategy of how to successfully start a business on the Web, drive traffic and increase sales through a the use of social media marketing, search engine optimization, Web site usability design standards, unique branding and public relations initiatives—the whole Wow element every business needs.
When founder and CEO of mywebWOW!com, Andrew Catapano’s fortune 500 employer filed for bankruptcy, he was left with nothing but an entrepreneurial spirit and a drive to get back on his feet. Catapano, along with his business partner, Rachel Knepp, decided to use their backgrounds in legal compliance, marketing, retail and customer service to assist people in starting their own businesses.
Since their official start in January 2009, mywebWOW!com has expanded from two entrepreneurs meeting in a coffee shop, to currently occupying a two story converted brownstone in the Short North and having over 20 full-time direct hire contractors.
“We cater our marketing strategies to those individuals and businesses who need proven results on a managed budget,” Catapano said. “Our personal results not only speak for themselves, but just ask any one of our over 100 clients whether they have received a positive return on their investment with the services we offer.”
“Working with mywebWOW!com has been excellent,” said client Eric Ahiekpor, the administrator of Premier Choice Healthcare Services. “The SEO strategy has been a huge success. I don’t know percentage wise how many customers are coming from SEO strategy, but I know it’s a big portion.”
The seminar will take place April 29 from 6 to 9 at the downtown Courtyard by Marriott, located at 35 W. Spring St. The cost of the event is $45 dollars, with a portion of the proceeds going to Junior Achievement of Central Ohio. To RSVP, please visit howtoWOWnow.eventbrite.com.
