Perkasie, PA, March 25, 2010 --(PR.com)-- Just in time for the Spring Selling Season, the agents at Keller Williams, Doylestown are all a buzz about the Lunch and Learn provided by Sharon McConnell of Park Ave Home Staging & Redesign. “Who knew that soup, cookies, and a Home Staging Presentation would be received with such enthusiasm”, says Sharon. Lunch was first on the agenda. The menu included homemade soups; potato soup (her family’s favorite), tortellini soup, and cookies made by Susan Kahn of Bucks County Cookie. (There were many requests for the potato soup recipe which follows.)

With satisfied taste buds, the agents listened intently to Sharon’s Presentation - Home Staging Handbook for Sellers… A Tool to Help Sellers Receive the Equity they Deserve. Sharon created the handbook to solve a problem that was expressed by real estate agents at Texpo in 2008. Texpo is an expo for realtors, which is sponsored by BCAR (Bucks Co. Association of Realtors). The BCSA (Bucks Co. Stagers Association), of which Sharon is a founding member, presented a seminar on Home Staging to approximately 30 agents. The agents unanimously agreed that they understand the value that home staging adds to a house on the market. They needed help to show their clients the value in spending their money to sell their home.

The handbook is a tool for agents to share with their selling clients and help them make informed decisions to receive the equity they deserve. It includes The Top 10 Staging Benefits, and statistics on do it yourself projects. The Top 12 DIY Home Improvement Projects are recommended by agents nationwide, to increase the value of sellers homes and increase their ROI (Return on Investment). For example; the number #1 project is cleaning and de-cluttering. It will have an average cost of $100.00 - $200.00, and will increase the home price by $1,500.00 - $2,000.00. That is an 872% ROI and 98% of agents recommend it. (Survey results provided by HomeGain.com)

For some sellers, it will be the before and after photos that will catch their attention. The photos show that home staging can sometimes be as simple as a rearrange, a no cost transformation. ”Bucks County is unique. We love our antiques”, says Sharon. “It is possible to incorporate some antiques in the staging and update them with a few simple purchases. The staging television shows usually encourage the use of all contemporary furnishings, but that is not necessarily the case Bucks County”.

Agent, Lu Ann Decker, stated, “We’ve had other Stagers speak, but no one gave us what you gave us. You were worth it.”

Sharon stresses the importance of working together as a TEAM; the Seller, the Stager, and the Realtor. T E A M – Together Everyone Achieves More.
