Children’s Cancer Research Fund Brings 5th Annual Kids 4 Kids Run/Walk Event to L.A. LIVE

Los Angeles, CA, March 26, 2010 --(PR.com)-- The Kids 4 Kids 5k Run/Walk and All-Star Carnival, benefiting Children’s Cancer Research Fund, which has been in Century City, is coming to L.A. LIVE on April 25. Presenting Sponsor and “Team Owner” TOYOTA and “Team Manager” AEG lead the team of sponsors in Downtown Los Angeles to produce another successful event to De”FEET” pediatric cancer.

“The first four years at Century City were very successful and we are delighted to have been invited to bring our Kids 4 Kids 5k RUN/WALK to L.A. LIVE,” said Matti Contopulos, founder and president of the national Children’s Cancer Research Fund.

L.A. LIVE is the leading entertainment destination for Los Angeles and the event capitol of the world, hosting the GRAMMYs, EMMYs, American Music Awards, ESPYs, American Idol Finals and hundreds of other events.

“Just as L.A. LIVE was created to give its guests an unforgettable experience, the Kids 4 Kids 5k RUN/WALK and All-Star Carnival is meant to give the ‘KID’ in all of us a memorable experience while helping kids with cancer,” said Contopulos. “This spectacular event is meant to create a Happier and Healthier future for all children.”

Leading the cause to De”FEET” pediatric cancer are celebrities and athletes. National Spokespersons Team include: Emma Roberts, “Valentine’s Day;” Jordan Farmar, Los Angeles Lakers; Luc Robitaille, President, Business Operations for Los Angeles Kings Hockey Club; Landon Donovan, LA Galaxy; Michael Cooper, Head Coach, USC Womenʼs Basketball, Former Head Coach, Los Angeles Sparks, Former NBA Player, Los Angeles Lakers; Noelle Quinn, Los Angeles Sparks Guard and Former UCLA All-American; and Rafael Furcal, Los Angeles Dodgers.

The Kids 4 Kids Run/Walk empowers participants of all ages to take immediate action to help find a cure while bringing together friends and family for a fun day of activity and entertainment. Held on Sunday, April 25, the All-Star Carnival includes a finish line entertainment, rides and game booths staffed by celebrities and athletes.

The event will take place at L.A. LIVE (across from STAPLES Center) at Chick Hearn Court, at the corner of 11th and Figueroa. Event registration begins at 8:00 a.m. while Radio Disney Warm-Up takes place from 8:00 a.m. to 10 a.m. All-Star Carnival opens at 10:30 a.m. Yum 4 My Tum Food Court opens at 11:00 a.m.

Advance registration fee is $10 (under 18) and $25 (18 and over); On-site registration fee is $20 (under 18) and $35 (18 and over). Established in 1987, CCRF is dedicated to providing national support for clinical research in pediatric cancer, while improving the medical environment for all children. Monies raised from the event will fund art supplies for a pediatric playroom at Mattel Children’s Hospital UCLA and at County USC Hospital and new grants in clinical research in pediatric oncology.
